Both sides have reached an initial understanding to temporarily halt Afghan forces’ disputed construction, with the Afghan delegation set to consult their authorities by this evening.

The Joint Chamber of Commerce will take up the issue of disputed construction in its next meeting, and a final decision will be made at that time. Until then, trade routes through Torkham will remain open. The exact date for the Joint Chamber of Commerce’s session will be determined through mutual consultation.
